There are districts such as Murshidabad, Nadia, Bankura, Burdwan, Hooghly etc. which are famous for handloom industries. Amongst these districts, Nadia is famous for certain types of handloom sarees like Tangail, Jamdani, Dhakai-Buti, Shantipuri etc. which have acquired their own identity in India and abroad.
This is one of those magnificent handloom sarees. The design is also known as 'Chumki Kaj' on Cotton Silk. These sarees look enormously beautiful on every occasion and are a must have in one's wardrobe.
